The Netflix German TV series, Cassandra (English subtitles), is a recent example of a smart house story, where a family moves into Germany’s first smart home, abandoned since the ’70s after the owners died under mysterious circumstances. The electronic home assistant, also named Cassandra, awakens and manipulates events to keep the family from leaving, determined to create the happy family she never had.

Afro-Italian Actor, Michael Klammer, stars as father, David Prill, a crime novelist. He has also starred in The Teachers’ Lounge (2023), Arthurs Gesetz (2018) and Transfer (2010).
Mary Tölle (Vierwändeplus) stars as Juno Prill, Fynn’s young sister.
Afro-German Actor Joshua Kantara stars as Flynn Prill, the teenage son. Joshua is also a director and producer with a focus on national and international productions for both theatrical releases and streaming services.
German-Afghan actor Mina Tander stars as Samira Prill, a sculptor. She has received award nominations, including a Jupiter Award for Best German Actress.
