The Black German Cultural Society™ at the Black History & Culture Showcase, Philadelphia, PA, Convention Center. We had a magnificent time educating the public about Post WWII U.S. Occupation Afro-German children born in Germany and the Black German presence in Germany. It was very gratifying to see so much interest in our experiences and history.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support us! If you couldn’t get there, perhaps next year we’ll see you.

“Black Butterfly” by Deniece Williams
Morning light, silken dream take flight.
As the darkness gives way to the dawn.
You’ve survived, now, your moment has arrived.
Now, your dream has finally been born.
Black butterfly, sailed across the waters.
Tell your sons and daughters.
What the struggle brings.
Black butterfly, set the skies on fire.
Rise up even higher.
So the ageless winds of time can catch your wings
